As part of activities for the My Name Campaign, the Tiko Council represented by the fourth Deputy Mayor, Waindim Rudolf and Chief of Civil Status, Mrs Anna Enanga accompanied by the Registrar and Civil Status Secretary of the Mudeka Secondary Civil Status Registration Center, Mr Ebenezer Ndoumbe and Miss Mercy Moukondo, on Thursday December 19, 2024, carried out significant Outreach efforts aimed at raising awareness about the importance of Birth Registration.
A total of 19 Birth Certificates were distributed to pupils of Oxford Bilingual Nursery and Primary School, Mudeka, ensuring these children now have access to this vital legal document.
In addition, the campaign team visited the Mudeka Integrated Health Center, where they engaged with Health Personnel and Community members to sensitize them on the procedures and benefits of acquiring Birth certificates.
The visit that was timely, emphasized Tiko Council’s commitment to ensure that every child’s Identity and Rights are secured from birth, as part of its broader objective to promote inclusive development and access to essential services.
It should be noted that the Tiko My Name Campaign has carried out similar outreach sensitization and distribution of birth certificates to Schools and Health Facilities in Tiko and Mutengene Zones.
